Dr. Rikesh Dhuneshwar Hariparsad is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience in musculoskeletal medicine. Born and raised in KwaZulu-Natal, he has dedicated his career to serving communities across South Africa while also gaining valuable international experience in the United Kingdom.
After completing his medical degree at the prestigious University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2000, Dr. Hariparsad pursued specialised training in anaesthetics, earning his Diploma in Anaesthetics (DA) in 2004. This unique background provides him with exceptional insight into pain management techniques that benefit his orthopaedic patients.
His passion for musculoskeletal medicine led him to specialise in orthopaedics, where he completed his Higher Diploma in Orthopaedics (H. Dip Orth) in 2011, followed by a Fellowship in Orthopaedics in 2012 from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.
Dr. Hariparsad has practiced extensively throughout South Africa, serving diverse communities in both urban and rural settings. His international experience includes working in the United Kingdom's National Health Service (NHS), where he gained exposure to different healthcare systems and advanced surgical techniques.
This breadth of experience has not only enhanced his professional expertise but has also enriched his personal understanding of different cultures and healthcare approaches. He brings this global perspective to his practice while maintaining a deep commitment to serving the people of KwaZulu-Natal.
